GenesysRef (we and us) respects your privacy.

We do not require or collect any personal information if you are simply browsing the Site. We do not use any third-party advertising companies. If there are any terms in this privacy notice you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

As of version 0.5.0 a third-party analytics service has been implemented. This service may place a cookie in your browser to assist in analyzing frequently used portions of the Site. All data is anonymized before being stored in the server and can in no way be traced back to the user. Usage data is not sold, and is only shared with the dev team.

Please note, GenesysRef is currently in the Beta stage and as such, there is lots of room to grow. This privacy policy is subject to change at any time, and we suggest you check for changes each time the Site receives an update.

In short: hardly anything.

As stated above, we do not use third-party advertising.

Any personal information displayed is offered voluntarily by you, the user, and is stored only on your machine and the machines of those with whom you share your work, unless you go through the process to get your work hosted.

The only user-specific information we collect for hosting are the names you provide in the "authors" and "convertedBy" meta fields of a content collection. This information is not sold, however it is displayed for anyone to see on the Collection Manager screen. We also provide the "url" meta field which is designed to link a product associated to you, and could reveal potentially identifying information.

As of version 0.5.0 a single third-party cookie may be placed in your browser for the purpose of analyzing anonymous usage patterns for the betterment of the Site.

As of version 0.5.6 analytics services have officially been moved to Mixpanel.

In short: to ensure hosted content on the Site is of good quality.

None of the information associated with hosted (or imported) content is shared with third-parties. The sole purpose for having user information associated with their content collections is so the author/converter can be contacted through other mediums (such as Discord) with questions and comments regarding their authored content or conversion. This information is required as part of a content collection's meta fields for said content collection to be hosted. However, private content collections that are not hosted on the Site do not require such information.

Usage data is used to determine high traffic areas of the Site to prioritize bug fixes and feature enhancements. Usage data is not sold to anyone, and is only shared with the dev team for the aforementioned purposes of improving the Site.

You may submit a request for your hosted content to be removed at any time. Provided you can prove that you own the content, it will be removed as soon as possible.

Great care is taken to ensure that plagiarized work is not hosted, but in the case that something slips through the review process, the owner may provide proof of ownership and the content will be taken down immediately.

If you do not wish for any usage data to be collected, please discontinue the use of our services.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised date, and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
