Owlbear Rodeo Extension
?

Owlbear.rodeo is a virtual tabletop system that is very popular in the Genesys community for its ease of use, especially with the narrative nature of Genesys. Version 2.0 introduces an overhaul of their system which includes the support of custom extensions.

The GenesysRef extension enables two incredible features for your games: quickly looking up content without leaving your Owlbear VTT, and enabling range bands for character tokens.

Using Range Bands

  • Note: Range bands are an abstraction. Attempting to scale range bands to an underlying map is not likely to work well. These range bands are simply intended to visualize narrative distances between characters.
  • Add: Select a character token and click the Range Bands icon (two rings with GR in the middle). Or press B.
  • Remove: Select a character token with range bands, and click the Remove Range Bands icon (two rings with an X in the middle). Or press B.
  • Remove All: Select the Range Bands tool on the right side of the screen (two rings with GR in the middle) or press CTRL + B. Click the Remove All Range Bands icon (two rings with an X) on the top of the screen.
  • Settings: With the Range Bands tool selected, click the Range Band Settings icon on the top of the screen (three vertical slider bars). A popup window will open allowing you to enable/disable certain range bands, turn on colors, and even change the size of each band.

Now your players will know exactly how much danger they're in.
